Tessa Ia, actress
Age 15

Where do you live?
I was born in Mexico City and live there now but have just spent a year in New York.
What were your most recent projects?
I played Maria in the movie The Burning Plain by Guillermo Arriaga which just opened in theaters here in Mexico and I’ve been nominated by the 2010 Imagen Foundation for a Best Supporting Actress award for my role. I also recently worked on my Mom’s telenovela here in Mexico called Para Volver a Amar as young Valeria. While I was living in New York this past year I did voiceovers in Spanish and also French which I’m fluent in.
What are your hobbies?
I love doing trapeze, reading and creating art.
Describe your style.
You could say I’m a bit of a hipster, but I don’t like to catalog myself. I put my clothes together by textures, not colors.
How do you spend your Sunday morning?
I sleep.

Tyler Riggs, model/actor
Age 24

Where are you from originally?
Lutz, Florida
Describe your upbringing in a few words.
Southern hospitality,  sweet tea, mmmm.
Where do you live now?
Unfortunately and regretfully, I live in Williamsburg.
What was your most recent project?
I’m trying to ignore most projects due to strict school policy. However I’ve done a couple of plays recently…shhhh
What’s next?
I actually have several feature length scripts I’m taking a look at right now. I’m not sure if any are quite right for me but hopefully they keep on coming,
What are your hobbies?
Dang, I have this disease where I literally cannot sit still, I try to do everything. I skateboard and work on my motorcycle everyday. I also love taking pictures and wish I had more time to do so but in reality you can only have one true passion and you only have 100% to give so you have to make sure you keep your priorities straight if you want to truly be good at something. Haha, I’m pretty sure a make-up artist told me that.
How do you spend your Sunday morning?
I probably wake up and, if I’m not hungover, I try and convince my lovely girlfriend to let me work on my bike. And if that doesn’t work I take her out to brunch.

Nicolas Nauman, musician in the band Keepaway
Age: 25

Where are you from?
I moved around a bit as a kid: California, Kentucky, Ohio, Massachusetts.  All nice places, but the frogging is best in Kentucky.
Where are you living now?
Brooklyn
Describe your upbringing in a few words.
Progressive Catholicism and rejection thereof. White people. Punk rock. Jokes.
Have you had any unusual jobs?
For a while I ghostwrote a Martha Stewart-style ‘domestic gurus’ newspaper column and books.
What are your hobbies?

I like nature.  I like reading and thinking about love and reality and stuff.  And I like being strong and tough.
What’s next for Keepaway?
We’re writing our inestimably banging full-length album, which we plan on recording and finishing by the end of the year.  We’re keeping up with our clothing line, Keepaway Klose, and producing new pendants for all our new singles.  They’re big plastic necklaces, like chunky ice meets Fisher Price.  Lil Jon is interested in custom orders, no lie.  Also we’re starting to put out MixTubes on YouTube, which are like rap mixtapes only with our music.
How do you spend Sunday morning?
Peacefully.

Eléonore Hendricks, actress
Age 29

Where are you from originally?

Describe your upbringing in a few words.
Standard NYC, with a sufficient amount of fields, trees, and sky. It was unusually spoiled, slightly tarnished and utterly nourished, full of beautiful and odd things and people to see and experience.

Kuichisan, by Maiko Endo; Bad Fever, by Dustin Guy Defa; Northeast by Gregory Kohn.

How do you spend your Sunday morning?
In the same way as the other days. It starts off with coffee, a smoke and staring out the window.

Matthew Krause, actor
Age 24

Where are you from?
I grew up in Fountain Hills, Arizona.
Describe your upbringing in a few words?
My upbringing was very low key. I get along with my family. I have two younger brothers who are close in age so there was a lot going on and we tried not to kill each other when we were younger. Overall we have done some cool things: traveling the country, fishing, camping, white water rafting, sky diving. My family has been very supportive.
What are your most recent projects?
A wonderfully high suspense feature length thriller, All That Glitters, playing a lead character The Watcher. Last week I had a shoot in Berlin.
What’s next?
I’m moving from NYC to LA. After being in the city for five years I feel like it is time for a change, some excitement and a look at the west coast. My agents think it would be a good career move too. I have also been asked to go to Tokyo for a shoot.
What are your hobbies?
I love to draw and paint although finding the time can be difficult. I am also currently working on a movie script which I am really enjoying writing.
How do you spend your Sunday morning?
Sleeping, recovering, daydreaming and exploring.

Cristin Milioti, actress
Age 24

The suburbs, New Jersey
Describe your upbringing in a few words.
I did a lot of talking aloud to myself while riding my bicycle and running through the woods; rock and roll music; The Simpsons and films by the Coen Brothers.
Where do you live now? On the upper west side.
What’s your most recent project?
I Am Ben, a film that I just wrapped and a guest spot on The Good Wife. I also played Sammy Smalls in the film Year of the Carnivore. She is a naive young woman with self confidence issues and limited social skills, who goes on a quest to get better at sex after she’s told that she’s bad in bed. She goes on this quest by blackmailing men who she finds shoplifting at the supermarket she works at into letting her ‘experiment’ with them (usually against their will).

What’s next?
I’ve just starting rehearsals for Little Foxes at New York Theatre and am also doing a workshop with Ivo Van Hove. They kind of happened simultaneously.
What are your hobbies?

I love being around animals of any sort (unless they’re in a zoo). I also play the piano. And recently, I’ve been going camping.
How do you spend your Sunday morning? In bed. And then, with eggs and toast.
